Nothing much to report on Friday’s events. We all performed our monologues in the morning to the school and faculty. People forgot lines or got muddled but even so the standard was incredibly high. There was such a supportive atmosphere and it was great to see everyone else performing for the first time.

After some feedback and encouraging words from the Faculty we had a talk about actors’ union Equity and the main casting book and website, Spotlight.

The afternoon was filled with a lecture on Theatre History (we focused on the Greeks) followed by a lecture on Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya which we’d all been reading.

At the end of the day we all trooped off to the pub to celebrate the end of the first week. Only another 42 to go!

Lots of homework to do so I’m signing off for the weekend. Ta-ra!
